Beauty Doesn't Need a Miracle
It's common for religious theists to claim that the beauty around us is evidence of the existence of their god. Some may even go so far as to say that this evidence is so "clear" and their god is so "obvious" that people are "without excuse" for not seeing it. Thus we must be in denial somehow, rejecting the truth of what we must know. Not only is this not true, it strikes me as a curious means for actually undermining the beauty of what we see.

Rather than accept things as they are and treat them as beautiful in their own right, they are instead treated as only exemplifying beauty because of some connection to a supernatural being. If these things really were beautiful, though, no such connection would be necessary, would it? Beauty doesn't require miracles or any supernatural agency unless a person discounts the possibility of nature being beautiful all on its own.
